Chief Data Officer
Kanishka Agarwal is the Chief Data Officer of Slice and the head of Slice Intelligence, where he is the architect of the company’s data strategy and oversees the implementation of its digital commerce measurement service.
Prior to Slice, Kanishka led the mobile media practice at The Nielsen Company, a role he assumed via Nielsen’s acquisition of Telephia, where he was SVP and GM of its mobile media and advertising research business. Earlier in his career, Kanishka was a consultant in the Communications Media and Technology practice at Booz Allen Hamilton, consulting with CxO-level clients at Apple, Vodafone, Sprint PCS, 20th Century Fox, Oracle, Cisco and Universal Studios.
Kanishka has an MBA from Stanford University, and a Masters in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College. He is an avid badminton player and runner. A lover of animals, Kanishka recently took a two-year sabbatical to work at the San Francisco SPCA.
Ken Cassar is the principal analyst at Slice Intelligence, where he oversees Slice's research agenda; identifying and contextualizing e-commerce industry trends from Slice's panel of 4 million U.S. online consumers.
Ken brings a rich online retail background to Slice Intelligence. Most recently, Ken was the senior vice president, media analytic solutions at Nielsen, where he developed several innovative digital commerce measurement and advertising effectiveness solutions. Prior to Nielsen, Ken was an analyst at Jupiter Research, where he was an early thought leader, trusted adviser and media source on e-commerce. His prescient outlook on fledgling e-commerce industry was a key contributor to Jupiter’s dominance as a digital media zeitgeist at the dawn of the Internet.
Ken has an MBA and Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut. Ken aspires to stay technologically ahead of his teenage children, as evidenced by his ‘Gadget Geek’ Slice profile. He also has the appropriate jacket for every occasion.
Conal Sathi is the data alchemist at Slice Intelligence, where he is responsible for using machine learning and data mining algorithms to bring structure and deeper insights to purchase data.
Prior to Slice, Conal focused on research in the intersection of social network analysis and natural language processing. He examined how sentiment flows through hyperlink networks and explored how to create a content prediction system for Twitter users. At Slice, he was hired as the first machine learning engineer, where he built algorithms to discover receipts within a mailbox, extract information from the receipts and categorize the items purchased.
Conal has a M.S. in Computer Science with a focus in Artificial Intelligence and a B.S. in Symbolic Systems with a focus in Neuroscience from Stanford University. A lover of music and dance, he spent some time in a South Asian focus a cappella group and an Indian folk dance (Bhangra) group. You might find him performing at open mic nights.
Vice President, Marketing and PR
Jaimee Minney is head of marketing and public relations at Slice Intelligence, where she is responsible for building the company’s brand and telling great stories with Slice data.
Jaimee possesses an extensive background in digital media and measurement. As vice president, corporate communications, she established m:metrics as the industry standard for mobile media measurement. After the startup was acquired by comScore, Jaimee served as vice president of corporate communications and expanded the online measurement company’s influence in the mobile sector. Most recently, she was head of public relations at Rhapsody, the digital music service, where she repositioned the company and its executives as thought leaders in a crowded and competitive industry. She also had a successful career as a PR agency owner and executive, working with a variety of clients in the digital media and mobile sectors.
Jaimee has a Bachelors Degree in public relations from Drake University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her Slice profile reveals she is a Jetsetter, often travelling to pursue her other passions: live music, outdoor adventures and great food and wine.
